Celebrating 25 Years of Support
Quanta Capital Junior Tour of Ireland
The Quanta Capital Junior Tour of Ireland is more than just a bike race—it’s a crucial stepping stone for young athletes aspiring to professional cycling careers. It is a university on two wheels, for Cyclists. The blend of high-level competition, developmental opportunity, and heritage makes it a cornerstone event in the junior cycling world.
As well as facilitating the Tour, Mel’s sponsorship for over 25 years has kept the playing field level for young talent from all demographics and backgrounds over the years, enabling youth participation, ensuring inclusivity and equality and nurturing and supporting the development of talent.
For Mel, talent should be given it’s chance to blossom, regardless of the background the young cyclists come from. Keeping to that primary tenet has seen riders who compete in the Tour go on to represent their countries at elite levels, progressing to professional teams and even the Tour De France.
But the Quanta Capital Junior Tour doesn’t just help the competititors. Across the four stages of the Tour, the host communities also benefit. Every year, the four day event brings hundreds of visitors to host towns each year, creating a positive impact on local businesses and tourism, enhancing the sport’s goodwill and, year by year, building strong local relationships. From Tipperary, Cork, Kerry and Westmeath, the Quanta Capital Junior Tour is a familiar and welcome date in the calendar.
